About Us

New Start MK CIC is a community-driven organisation in Milton Keynes, dedicated to helping East African immigrants settle, integrate, and thrive. Founded by local residents, our focus is on practical support, social connection, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

We provide a range of workshops designed to teach essential skills and help people adapt to life in the UK, including English language learning, employment training, housing advice, and financial guidance. These sessions also serve as a space for individuals to meet others, share experiences, and access valuable support networks.

Alongside our workshops, we offer a Community Directory to help people find relevant services for housing, work, healthcare, and legal assistance. We also run a low-cost community shop, providing affordable second-hand clothing, toys, and household essentials to those in need.

Our approach is rooted in community and collaboration. By bringing people together through social and cultural events, such as traditional coffee mornings and discussion groups, we aim to reduce isolation and strengthen community ties.
